Annual Traditions
These events happen every summer. All PLPA members and lake community welcome.
PLPA Annual Meeting
Our most important community gathering. We review the year's water quality data, discuss conservation priorities, and conduct board elections. Held each July on the first Saturday of the month.
Annual Member Social
A purely social gathering to visit with friends from the watershed. Held every year in August at the Ice House.
Ring of Fire & Fireworks
"Ring of Fire" 9:00 – 9:30 PM
Fireworks begin at 9:30 PM
PLPA recommends the use of clean, reusable LED flares, available online. These make no mess, and can be turned off when the fireworks start, making the professional show more enjoyable for everyone.
If incendiary flares are used, please catch all flare residue before it enters the water — spent flares contain heavy metals and plastics that are harmful to lake wildlife and water quality.
Personal fireworks affect the environment, our wildlife, and pets.
